Update from Rocky Hill Schools - August 31, 2021
August 31, 2021
Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
I hope you enjoyed the last several weeks of the summer. On behalf of our Board of Education and our staff, I am excited to welcome everyone back to school. I am writing today with a couple of quick updates:
Students will report for the first day of school on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Due to the current situation with the delta variant of COVID-19, please be reminded that parents/guardians should not send any child to school if that child is experiencing symptoms. Rather, please keep a symptomatic child at home and contact the school nurse.
If your child has been recently exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact the school nurse before sending the child to school.
Please be advised that the district’s COVID-19 dashboard (located on the district's website) will be activated today, August 31, 2021. The dashboard will be updated daily, Monday through Friday, each week throughout the course of the school year.
Per executive order 13-A, all individuals in Connecticut schools are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.
Best wishes for a terrific 2021-22 school year!
Mark Zito, Ed.D
Superintendent of Schools
