Rocky Hill Schools - Welcome New Administrators
April 22, 2022
Dear Students, Families, and Staff Members,
Last evening the Board of Education made two administrative appointments, effective July 1, 2022. Dr. Anabelle Diaz-Santiago will be our next principal at Moser School and will replace Mr. Jason Maziarz, who will assume the principalship at Griswold Middle School. In addition, Ms. Sarah St. Pierre was appointed to the position of special education supervisor. Ms. St. Pierre will be assigned to support programming, students, families, and staff at both West Hill School and Stevens School.
Dr. Diaz-Santiago will be coming to Rocky Hill from E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain, where she has been the principal for the past three years. Prior to her time at Goodwin Tech, Dr. Diaz-Santiago worked as an assistant principal in the state’s technical high school system and also accrued extensive experience as an art teacher in the East Hartford Public Schools. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) and also received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from CCSU.
Ms. St. Pierre will be coming to Rocky Hill from Shared Services, a regional educational service center, where she is employed as a school psychologist and is working with children at the Hartland School in Hartland, CT. Ms. St. Pierre earned her administrative certification at Sacred Heart University. She also holds a master’s degree from Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
I am confident that Dr. Diaz-Santiago and Ms. St. Pierre will transition effectively into their new leadership positions and will excel. Please join me in congratulating both Dr. Diaz-Santiago and Ms. St. Pierre as we welcome them to the Rocky Hill Public Schools.
Mark Zito, Ed. D.
